Yes. Many NYFA students come from Japan, Korea, China, Brazil, and Europe to study filmmaking, acting, and media arts in Los Angeles. Living with a host family means your daily living situation is taken care of — meals, Wi-Fi, and a comfortable home base — so you can put your energy into your productions and projects. It is also one of the best ways to build real English fluency and get a genuine feel for American culture, which is directly relevant to storytelling in a US industry context.
