Manhattan Language is a licensed ESL school located in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, steps from Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange. Certified by SEVP to enroll F-1 international students, Manhattan Language offers English programs at eight levels, including General English, Business English, TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo exam preparation, as well as university pathway partnerships for students planning to continue their studies in the United States.
Universal Student Housing and HomestayMatch place international students with verified American host families in the New York City metro area. Your host family provides a private furnished room, daily breakfast, and a welcoming home base while you study at Manhattan Language. Living with an American family means your English immersion continues after class — conversations at home, at meals, and in everyday life reinforce everything you practice in the classroom.
Every host family in our network is screened and verified before placement. We match you based on your school location, schedule, dietary needs, and personal preferences. Once your placement is confirmed, you receive a Welcome Packet with everything you need to get settled, including local transit routes to help you get to campus. Airport transfer may be available as an add-on service when you apply — contact our office to confirm availability.
Manhattan Language students arrive throughout the year for programs of varying lengths. We offer flexible stays starting from four weeks, with easy extensions as your plans develop.
