The Castro/Valencia campus is located at 1220 Noe Street in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco. City College of San Francisco does not provide on-campus housing. International students arrange their own accommodations in the city.

Everything is included in one flat monthly rate: your furnished private room, Wi-Fi, utilities, and an English-speaking American host family. No lease to sign. No credit history required. No furniture to buy. Just arrive and settle in.
San Francisco is one of the most culturally rich and internationally diverse cities in the United States, and the Castro neighborhood puts you right in the middle of it. Your host family is your first real connection to life in the city, helping you navigate San Francisco's neighborhoods, use public transit, and find your way to campus. For international students arriving in the Bay Area for the first time, that local support and daily English practice at home makes the transition significantly smoother.
Short stays of 4 weeks and longer stays are both available, so your housing near CCSF Castro matches your program length exactly. Airport pickup is available upon request. Contact our office for details.

Yes. Students in the CCSF Intensive English Program are building the language skills they need to succeed in academic coursework. Living with an American host family accelerates that process by extending English practice beyond the classroom and into everyday life at home. The combination of intensive classroom instruction and full immersion in a host family environment is one of the most effective ways to develop real fluency quickly.
Stays start at a minimum of 4 weeks and can be extended to match the length of your program. Whether you are enrolled for a single semester or planning to stay through your transfer preparation, flexible options are available with no long-term lease required.
